We’re in the beautiful month of May and magic is pulsing! We’ve had an eventful and inspiring past year of projects and adventures. Currently All Around Artsy owner / director Kira Bursky is scuba diving through the rabbit hole of metaphysics and magic as research for her feature screenplay. In the next couple of months she has writing-research trips lined up to VA, NYC and Columbia, South America.

Last month on April 2, 2019 at Trade and Lore Coffee in downtown Asheville, NC we held our yearly All Around Artsy screening event where we premiered three new music videos. Our current YouTube fanbase now stands at 28,000+ subscribers and 13million+ views. Over the past year we screened at festivals worldwide from Los Angeles to Berlin, Germany and won 5 Best Of awards. We produced 10+ music videos as well as “Psalm Space,” a 6 episode 22-minute series for flutist and composer Peg Luke. We did editing and motion graphics work for notable alcohol brands such as SKYY Vodka, Champagne Armand de Brignac and Bulldog Gin. We edited 6 short documentaries for Better World Ed and 6 Call-to-Action videos for SumOfUs.

We created a mobile app for filmmakers called “Critiqr” that is available on the Apple and Google Play stores. Critiqr launched in NYC at AMC Theaters Times Square during the All-American High School Film Festival and was featured on Nofilmschool.com. We have users in 10 countries and have connected filmmakers to 185+ critiques thus far. We are very happy with the results of this startup adventure, but are currently pausing on developing it out any further as we focus our energies on the production of our feature film. We thank everyone who was a part of the fantastic journey.

Read on to find out more about our past year plus some upcoming plans!

All Around Artsy Milestones

We have so many updates to make! First off, here's our new reel for 2018!:

We are celebrating All Around Artsy's second film to pass 1 million views on Youtube: "Wild Flowers," produced by the fashion eyewear company Massada Eyewear. Our film "Close to the Window" also just recently passed 1 million views on Miao Pai, a Chinese video platform. So exciting to have our work seen by so many people!

Out Magazine Premiere of "Closet Made of Sheets"

Today is an amazing day! So excited to share with you the Out Magazine online premiere of my short film "Closet Made of Sheets." Check out the film and my interview which focuses a lot on identity and bisexual erasure in media. It's been a dream of mine to premiere a film through Out. You can find the article here.

Wowie zowie! What an incredible weekend. I had work screening at 3 different festivals and I won an award at each one! Can't believe it.
